Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to apply your systems administration background in sunny, tax-free Cayman! We are looking for a Senior Network Administrator to join our client’s IT group in a Team Lead capacity.

More specifically, we are looking for the following in a preferred candidate:
•At least 4 years of professional IT experience in a similar role
•Strong storage experience – NetApp NCDA would be ideal, EMC experience would also be of interest
•Relevant industry certification(s) such as MCITP/MCSE, VCP, ITIL
•Solid Microsoft Exchange experience that includes clustering for Exchange 2010/SQL 2008 R2
•Virtualization and Disaster Recovery skills
•Experience in the financial services industry would be an asset
•Post secondary education in computer science or a related field
•Excellent organizational, presentation and communication skills are required

Working as a senior member of a small team, the successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties that will include but not be limited to the following:
•Maintaining and optimizing global infrastructure including servers, backup strategy, network devices, security and monitoring
•Working closely with management and staff to identify technology challenges/inefficiencies and seeking out opportunities to improve and optimize infrastructure
•Acting as lead architect on infrastructure projects and initiatives
•Leading and mentoring members of the infrastructure team, supporting level 1 and 2 support staff, troubleshooting end user issues as required
•Leading and assisting in the evaluation of new initiatives, devices, software and projects
•Acting as IT service provider for internal customers
•Responsible for all infrastructure related documentation
•Preparing status reports to inform supervisor of progress on assignments
•Providing on-site consultation and support to business unit managers and staff as required
•Evaluating security practices, assessing vulnerabilities and developing programs to mitigate risk
